Why we need Political Institutions?

For the smooth functioning of a democracy several arrangements are made, such arrangements are called institutions. A democracy work well when these institutions perform functions assigned to them:

(i) The Prime Minister and the Cabinet are the institutions that take all important policy - decisions.

(ii) The Civil Servants, working together, are responsible for taking steps to implement the minister’s decisions.

(iii) The Supreme Court is an institution where disputes between citizens and the government arc finally settled.
