The common people reacted to Nazism in the following ways :

(i) Many people saw the world through Nazi eyes.

(ii) They spoke their mind in Nazi language.

(iii) They felt hatred and anger when they saw someone looked like a Jew.

(iv) They marked the houses of Jews and reported about their suspicious neighbours.

(v) Common men really believed that Nazism would bring happiness and prosperity for them.

(vi) The large majority of Germans were passive onlookers, as they were scared to act or protest against Nazism.

(vii) However many Germans organised active resistance to Nazism, braving police repression and death.
